This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Wow - this is a WARNING to any action figure fans who intend to buy the 6-inch Black Canary figure from the DCUC line. I nearly broke her out of the box trying to make her throw a sidekick. The figure has no mobility in the hips, and is stuck with a 90's era T-crotch. What does this mean? It means that the Black Canary, who throws alot of martial art kicks in the comic books, has an action figure which cannot kick above the waist. The reason for this apparently is that the sculptors sacrificed articulation so that they could give her authentic fishnet stockings. While the figure is amazing to look at, and the stockings fit her very well, they left out an integral ability the character should have. I shudder to think how many action figure fans will think she merely has stiff joints - and break the leg off their Black Canary while trying to motivate a hip that doesn't exist.
They should put a warning on the box or something.
I went to the Toronto Fan Expo today. A blonde model (too hot to be a cosplayer) was at the Marvel booth wearing a Ms Marvel costume that was literally falling apart. Over at the DC booth a very decent looking Green Lantern actor (probably Six Flags) was plugging the new animated movie. Interesting parallel.
The most startling thing was the amount of people showing up with Evil Dead stuff. Really? Evil Dead? There hasn't been a movie in the series since 1992. Why revere a snobby Bruce Campbell, who refused to return to the role that made him everything he is. I can't see a reason for people to be that interested in the series - at least not until Clive Owen plays Ash in the Evil Dead remake
Overall, I got what I went there to buy - which made the day a rocking success.
